Composition and manufacture

Main and Cross Tees are cold roll formed from hot dipped Galvanised steel through the ultra steel strip process and finished with pre-painted capping.

Both Main and Cross Tees are double stitched for improved quality and Cross Tees are completed with high tensile steel clips to ensure a positive fit.

Fire resistance

All fire resistance tests conducted on T Grid ceiling profiles involve a loaded steel beam in accordance with BS476: Part 23: 1987 Clause 5.

The duration of the fire protection will depend upon the particular tile utilised within the ceiling and the application of retaining clips.

Structural performance

Performance is governed by the limit of deflection criteria, recommended in BS8290: Part2:1991 and ASTM C636-96 for Suspended Ceilings. Accommodation of light fittings requires extra hangers at corners.

Installation

T-Grid ceiling components are manufactured to the highest quality standards and to ensure that these levels are attained in the finished ceiling installation the system must be installed in accordance with BS, EN and ASTM standards.
